Affordable Therapy Sessions are available and conducted by our Doctoral Interns, MSW Interns, Marriage Family Therapist Interns, Addictions Counseling Interns and Mental Health Counseling Interns at IO, PLLC. Dr. McIlwaine has developed a Clinical Training Internship Program with Doctoral and Master Level Students to provide clinical services under her supervision at a reduced rate. The sessions are offered at $50.00 for 1 hour session for individuals weekly or $60.00 for 1 hour session for couples and $125.00 per 90 minute Assessment Session.  The sessions are offered to individuals that want quality services at an affordable rate.  Our Doctoral interns, MSW Interns, Marriage Family Therapist Interns, Addictions Counseling Interns and Mental Health Counseling Interns are well trained and able to provide services on a weekly schedule.  All of our interns are attendees of a University Doctoral or Master Level Programs and are developing additional clinical skills in areas of child/adolescents, marriage and family counseling, domestic violence, substance use, anger/stress management, conflict resolution and various mental health/behavioral disorders.  Our interns are available year round for counseling services at these rates. Also, the interns have agreed to a one-year hands-on commitment with IO, PLLC.

At IO, PLLC, Dr. McIlwaine and her clinical training team will work one on one and in group settings with the student interns to introduce, train and develop clinical counseling skills in specific areas. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT Skills Training, Mindfulness Skills, Prepare/Enrich (www.prepare/enrich.com), Marriage and Family Therapy, Prime for Life Curriculum, Domestic Violence Counseling, Brief Solution Focused, Person-Centered, Anger Management Treatment, Drug/Alcohol/DWI Treatment, Group Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Family Therapy and Crisis Intervention.  The interns are also introduced to extensive assessment, treatment planning skills, clinical interventions and training for many of the services that we provide follow-up counseling and treatment. Dr. McIlwaine has also obtained the Approved Clinical Supervisor credential.  

Additionally, Dr. McIlwaine has developed a research component that allows interns to participate in extensive counseling psychology research. Dr. McIlwaine continues to introduce and explore additional relevant research topics in specific areas of Substance Use Disorders-Health and Prevention, DWI Treatment Options & the Population Serviced, Anger Management Assessing and Treatment Criteria, Relationships-The Making of a Great Relationship with Self and Others, and Domestic Violence-Family/Couples Violence Prevention.
